Cynthia “Cindy” Carole Loyd, 60, of Amarillo, Texas went to heaven to join the Lord on February 19, 2019.

A visitation will be Friday, March 1, 2019 from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Lighthouse Funeral Home, 4207 SW 21st Ave. Services will be on Saturday, March 2nd at 2 P.M. in Hillside Christian Church Northwest Campus located at 600 Tascosa Rd.

Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Joe B. Winstead Sr.; mother, Estelle Winstead; and older brother, Leonard “Bo” Winstead.

Survivors include her husband, Samuel Archuleta; daughter, Haley Archuleta (and her partner, Jordan Stephens); grandson, Kellan J. Stephens; brothers, Joe Winstead, Mike Winstead (and wife Glenda Winstead), Robert Winstead (and wife Vera Winstead), Joe B. Winstead, Jr., and Adrian Winstead (and wife Deborah Winstead);  her sisters Ann Donoval and Judalon Mask, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Cindy was born on September 26, 1958 in Norfolk, Virginia to Joe B. Winstead, Sr. and Estelle Winstead, the youngest of nine children. The family moved to Pensacola, Florida where she grew up. In December 1976, she moved to Texas, where she met the love of her life, Sam. The young couple had a beautiful baby girl, Haley. Haley blessed Cindy with a grandson, Kellan; Cindy would bend over backwards to do anything for him. Her family was her world, and she loved each of them very much.

Cindy was a loving wife, mother, “Gramma,” sister, and friend. She was willing to do anything for the people she loved. She’d give them the shirt off her back If they needed it. She was a fighter, a warrior, and a survivor. Her struggles included several surgeries and enduring breast cancer and its treatments. Through it all, she came out of each one stronger than before. Nothing could get in the way of her enjoying life and her family.

She had a contagious smile and laugh with which she welcomed everyone. She touched many lives and will be sorely missed.
