Obituary for Rachel Elaine Gutierrez Moya

Rachel Elaine Gutierrez Moya was born a twin on November 24, 1954 in Tulare, California to Jesus and Oralia Gutierrez. She grew up in Indio, California, where she attended elementary school and High School.

She’ll always be remembered for her infectious laugh and joyful attitude. Always seeing the best in people and never wishing any bad on anyone. A generous and forgiving person who would do what she could to help anyone in need.

Married to Marcelo Saul Moya for 49 years she was a faithful wife and devoted mother to her three children Brian, Michael and Lorraine. Placing family first, she selflessly always saw to their needs before hers.

She answered the altar call of the Lord beside her husband in 1989 and served the Lord faithfully since. Standing beside her husband as he answered his call to ministry she gave her love and devotion to doing God’s will and purpose in her life as a help meet.

She is preceded in death by her father Jesus, her mother Oralia, two brothers Alfred and Jesus Jr. and her son Brian.

She is survived by her sisters Virginia { the twin } Lillie, Lupe and Diana all of Indio, California. Her son Michael, daughter Lorraine and husband of 49 years Marcelo Saul “ Bobby “ Moya.

Although absent from us physically, a part of her will always live in those of us who had the privilege to know her. As her husband, I was blessed to have been loved by someone as wonderful as her.

A celebration of her life will be at 2 pm Monday, October 7 at Potter’s House Christian Church, 1616 S Vernon, Amarillo, TX.
