Obituary for Rafael Camacho

Rafael Camacho went to be with our father on November 13, 2019, he was a great husband and father and even better grandpa.

Rafael was born on January 17, 1962 to Rafael and Vicenta Camacho. He was the oldest of 10. He will be missed by his brothers and sisters. He would tell us stories about growing up with all of them and the fun they had and the trouble they got into.

Rafael married Luz McGuire on December 29, 1981 in Odessa Texas. Along with her hand in marriage he also received a son Jose (Joey) Armendarez and a daughter Monica (Nikki) Armendarez. They then added two more to the family with the birth of Chanel Camacho Huynh and Alexander Camacho. Who proceeded to give him 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Rafael was born to be a salesman, he sold everything from encyclopedias door to door, shoes, insurance and cars. His greatest and favorite sales job was selling salvation as a pastor. Since his passing we have had so many people tell us how he touched their lives and what a great person he was and what a difference he made.

We will miss him so much as he was the quite rock in our midst. He was there if you had a problem or if you wanted to share something with him or for prayer. He was a Dallas Cowboy fan win or lose and football season was looked forward to by all of us. He shared his passion for boxing with his son in law Travis Huynh and they watched all the Canelo fights together.

He was preceded in death by a nephew, Alexander Y Marrufo.

He is survived by his wife, Luz Camacho; 4 children, Chanel and husband Travis Huynh, Alex and wife Kelsea Camacho, Joey and Ellen Armendarez and Nikki and Mark; parents, Rafael and Vicenta Camacho; father and mother-in-law, Luz and Alfredo McGuire; 9 siblings; 11 grandchildren; 1 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
