Robert J Kaminski Sr. passed away on December 3, 2019. He was born in Paris Township, Ohio on May 29, 1927 to Joseph Kaminski and Anna Vapenik.
Robert married Jeannette Connare on January 9, 1957. They met at the local roller skating rink. They lived in Cleveland, OH and eventually moved to El Paso, TX where they raised their adopted children, Robert Jr. and Joan. Robert and Jeannette eventually settled in Amarillo, TX.
Robert enlisted and served in the Army twice during and after the Korean conflict. Robert joined the United States Postal Service and was a career letter carrier. He loved the Beach Boys, big band music, and country music. In his later years, Robert delivered newspapers. Robert loved to build models and make latch hook rugs. He was a jokester and loved to tease his children and grand-children.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife Jeannette, his parents, Joseph Kaminski and Anna Vapenik, step-mother Jane Kaminski, and his grandson Robert J. Kaminski III.
Robert is survived by his children, Robert J. Kaminski Jr. and Joan M. Robinson, his grandchildren Michael, Stefanie, and Andrew Kaminski, Paul, Samantha, and Sabryna Tope, and his 8 great grandchildren.
Vigil and Rosary will be on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at 6:00 pm at St. Thomas the Apostle Parish on 4100 S. Coulter St., Amarillo, TX.
The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, December 9, 2019 at 2:00 pm at St. Thomas the Apostle Parish with interment to follow at Llano Cemetery, Amarillo.
