Obituary for Josephine “Josie” C. Fabela

Josephine “Josie” C. Fabela of Tulia, TX passed away Monday, November 19, 2018, at the age of 63.

Josie was born on September 26, 1955 in Knox City, TX to Victor and Maria Luisa Contreras. She worked as a Human Services Tech for the Texas Department of State Heath Services for 36 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Mary Lou Contreras.

Josie is survived by her husband, Migel Fabela of Tulia, TX; her son David Pedroza and wife Rebecca of Artesia, NM, and her daughter Jessica Trevino and husband Peter of Silverton, TX; her five sisters, Mary Elizabeth Garcia and husband Manuel, Elaine Fernandez and husband Richard, Martha Leal, Janie Porras, Esther Contreras; three brothers Victor Contreras Jr. and wife Juanita, Carlos Contreras and wife Hilda, Ezekiel Contreras; her five grandchildren Kayla Eid, Danielle Pedroza, David Pedroza (Bubba), Benjamin Trevino, and Rylan Pedroza and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 24, 2018 at CenterPointe Church in Muleshoe, TX. Pastor Ruben Acevedo Jr. will officiate the ceremony and all are welcome to attend and celebrate Josie’s life. Arrangements are under the guidance of Lighthouse Funeral and Cremation Services.
