Obituary Margaret “Peggy” Katherine (MacLeod) Henry

Margaret “Peggy” Katherine (MacLeod) Henry passed into Heaven on Monday, April 15th, 2019. Peggy was the loving daughter of the late John A. MacLeod and Katherine A. (MacDougall) MacLeod of Newton, Massachusetts. Peggy was born in Natick, Massachusetts. She grew up in Newton, Massachusetts and graduated from Newton North High School, Class of 1962. Peggy moved to California in the early 1970’s where she stayed for much of her life and worked as a Private Duty Nursing Assistant. In the latter years of her life she spent time with her sister, Bonnie Jean MacLeod in Denver, Colorado. Peggy finally settled in Amarillo, Texas to be close to her loving daughter and son-in-law, Rick and Teryl Hughes until the time of her passing.

Peggy is survived by her brothers: John A. MacLeod of Apple Valley, Minnesota, and William C. MacLeod and wife Irene of Chicago, Illinois. Also, by her sisters: Miriam G. Winston of Boston, Massachusetts, Mary Helen Corcoran of Hampton, New Hampshire, and Bonnie Jean MacLeod of Denver, Colorado, and many nieces and nephews.

Peggy is also survived by her children: Teryl L. Hughes and husband Rick of Amarillo, Texas, William Charles Wentworth and wife Cindy of Lubbock, Texas, and Christopher Galen Wentworth of Huntington Beach, California. Peggy was blessed with 10 grandchildren: Patricia K. Gilstrap, Aleda K. Swanson, Elaina M, Hughes, Corinn E. Wentworth, Cydni E. Duncan, Krystal A. Bopp and Husband John, Kristopher A. Wentworth, Alizabeth M. Wentworth, William L. Wentworth, Dylan J. Wentworth, and 9 great grandchildren

Peggy was a light to everyone she met. No one was ever a stranger in her presence. Peggy had a smile that would change the atmosphere! You, Mom, will be missed terribly by all who had the honor to know & love you!!!

  1. I thank God for the time we all love and take of her, she was a sweet, very kind and fun to be around! Margaret make a impact to all us at the nursing home, without her around, it won’t be the same!
    We love you and we will miss you very much sweet lady! Heaven has an angel!
