Warren was born on February 9, 1952 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to Al and Dean Cox. He was preceded in death by his father, Al Cox.
He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Julie, and his three children, Matthew, Anna Lauren, and Ashton. He is also survived by his beloved mother, Dean Cox, as well as his two sisters, Debbi Abraham and her husband, Ed, Sandee Sprang and her husband, Will. He had lots of cousins, one niece and four nephews who loved him dearly.
Warren grew up in Pensacola, Florida where he spent a lot of time on the water. He loved scuba diving and swimming as well as searching for shells, but one of his greatest joys in life was fishing.
Warren had a tremendous passion for others, a sweet, humble spirit and a wonderful sense of humor. He was always smiling and treasured spending time with his family and friends. But his greatest love was for the Lord, and even throughout his extended illness, Warren continued to praise God for his many blessings.
The family is so grateful for the medical staff at Vibra hospital in Amarillo, Texas who provided such excellent care for him during the last weeks of his life.
A memorial service will be held in South Carolina at a later time to spread his ashes in the waters that he loved so much. Arrangements are under the guidance of Lighthouse Funeral and Cremation Services.
Donations can be made to Miracle Hill Ministries, 494 South Pleasantburg Dr., Greenville, SC 29607, a place that was very dear to Warren’s heart and where he became a true Overcomer.
