Alfred Bousquet, 81, of Amarillo, Texas passed away at home on March 7, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am Tuesday, March 12 at Lighthouse Funeral and Cremation Services. Military Honors will be rendered by the Volleys for Veterans at Noon following the visitation.
Al was born April 8, 1937 in Woonsocket, Rhode Island to Alfred H and Beatrice Bousquet. He was an only child.
Al was an avid motorcyclist who enjoyed riding his bike with friends as well as alone. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife and spending time with his family.
He was in the air force and following completion of service he was employed as a truck driver than worked for the State until his retirement.
Al Married his wife Joyce of 43 years on November 1, 1975 at which time they united not only as a couple but as a blended family.
Al was a man of few words but was strong in character and values. His family will miss him dearly.
Al is survived by his wife Joyce Bousquet, his daughters Linda Norris, Janet Edwards and Cheryl Cruz. His sons Alfred J Bousquet, Rick Bousquet and Danny Haire. He also has 18 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren and his loyal dog Dexter.
He was preceded in death by his father Alfred H Bousquet, mother Beatrice Patrick, daughters Julie Whitaker and Sandra Bousquet.
