Cynthia (Cindy) Ensey went home to our Heavenly Father on April 21, 2021. Cindy was born to Jimmie and Ann Blackman on December 22, 1953 in Borger, Texas.
Cindy married the love of her life, Lynn Ensey, on March 10, 1978. They were blessed with three daughters: Christi, Rebecca, and Rachelle. Cindy loved her family and always tried to be the best role model possible. She volunteered as a Girl Scout leader for several years. During that time, she was the summer camp director for the Quivira Council of the Girl Scouts of America.
In addition to her family, Cindy loved creating all manner of crafts. From gifts to sewing for her daughters to creating art for the home or quilting just for fun, nothing was beyond her ability. But her true passion was with baking and cooking. Whether it was birthday cakes for a party or frying chicken for a family gathering, Cindy always enjoyed her time in the kitchen and took pleasure in everything she made. Cindy was also a big fan of sports and loved attending games of the Texas Rangers, Dallas Cowboys, and Amarillo Sod Poodles.
Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Jimmie Blackman, and mother, Ann Blackman. Survivors include her husband Lynn, daughters Christi Keck and her husband Tracy of Spring Hill FL, Rebecca Velasquez and her husband Eugene of Houston TX, and Rachelle Castleberry and her husband Scot of Amarillo. Two aunts, Linda York and Betty Miser, both of Amarillo. She also had six grandchildren that she loved with all of heart: Jarod, Elizabeth, Xavier, Victor, Braelyn, and Brooke.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to your favorite charity.
