Archie William Lard passed away on June 12, 2021.
He was born on July 16, 1939, in Pampa, Texas. He joined the Army in 1961 and spent time in Germany, then finished his military career in the Reserves in Amarillo, Texas. He worked for 36 years at Mason & Hanger / Pantex. He lived most of his life in Amarillo, Texas where he and his wife, Sue, married on December 24, 1965. He and Sue moved to Logan, New Mexico in 2006. They were both very active in the Loyal Order of the Moose in Amarillo and in the American Legion Post 77 in Logan.
Memorial service will be held in Logan, New Mexico at a later date.
Survivors include his wife, Sue; four sons, Sammy Peery and wife Melanie, Darren and wife Deana, Darrel and wife Tammy, and Daniel, all of Amarillo; brother Billy and wife Rose of Oklahoma; two sisters, Glenda Strey of Texas and Patricia Long of California; sister-in-law Doris Dillon of Texas; two aunts, Fannie Jean Greenhouse of Texas, and Patsy Newton of Texas; eleven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

So sorry for family. I didn’t know Archie very well, his wife Sue is my cousin. I do know he was a good husband and father.

Archie was my Supervisor for many years. We became friends as well as Co-Workers. He was a favorite to many of us. I have surely missed him over the years. Rest In Peace Archie.
My fondest memories will always be the way he loved my granddaughter Mahayla and how he would always light up when he saw her!! Mahayla loved him so much too!! Archie will always be in our hearts!! He will greatly be missed!!

When our children Darren and Darrell were young, we met Archie and family at Roaring Springs. What fun we had! Our children have remained friends!
