Clarence Willie Patterson

Clarence Willie Patterson age 61 of Visalia California, tragically passed away in a car accident on October 8, 2021 in Amarillo, Texas on his way back home from Arkansas. Clarence was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on August 6, 1960, to Jessie Mae Dennis and William “Willie” C. Patterson.

Clarence spent most of his life in Arkansas but eventually moved to California. He was an avid carpenter and loved to build things. He also owned a drapery business at one time. Clarence was a jack of all trades. He loved to play guitar, he enjoyed fishing, drawing, and he loved old cars and trucks. But more than anything, he loved his wife Diane, with whom he spent the last 29 years.

Clarence is preceded in death by his mother Jessie Mae Dennis (Moore); his father William “Willie” C. Patterson Sr.; his brother William C. Patterson Jr., and his son by marriage, David Michael Fraijo.

Clarence is survived by his wife Diane Patterson of Visalia California; children by marriage, Christine Saliem of Visalia, Sarah Mendes and husband Kevin of Tulare California, Danielle Saliem of Napa California, Nathan Saliem and wife Amanda of Visalia California; nine grandchildren; his siblings, Patsy Patterson Atkinson of Paragould Arkansas, Linda Shirey of Benton Arkansas, Debra Hodge and husband Benny of Batesville Arkansas, Dora Barrett and husband David of Hot Springs Arkansas, Daisy Terry of Paragould Arkansas, Christopher L. Patterson of Alabama, Bobbie Lee Hernandez and husband Alejandro of Little Rock Arkansas, and Daniel Patterson also of Little Rock. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles whom he loved very much.

A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held Friday October 22, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Cornerstone Church of the Nazarene in Bryant Arkansas. All that knew Clarence are welcome to join. He will be greatly missed.
