She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Betty; stepparents, Ray Evans & Joyce Fetter; siblings, Bill Fetter Jr., Tammy Hayes, and Tom Hilleary.
Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, David Watts; her daughters, Christy Smith and husband Brandon, and Heather Watts; grandchildren, Kylor Williams and wife Tayler, Kayle Frazier, Colton Darnell, and Katana Smith; great-grandchildren, Kyren, Kynzlee, Kamden, Kalem, and Kyler; three brothers, six sisters, and a host of nieces and nephews.
I had the honor and pleasure of working with Brenda and playing volleyball with her and David in city league for a lot of years. Even better she was a wonderful friend. Kept our friendship going via telephone and Facebook after we moved away. She and David came to Corpus last July and house sat while we were gone. I’m really sorry I didn’t get to physically hug her but she and David were and are in my heart as true friends forever! David, Richard and I are praying for you and family ?❤ Forever bound by God’s love. We will miss Brenda until we are all be reunited in God’s house in his timing!??❤
Brenda was one of a kind.l was a friend of her ‘s for many years ❤. There is not enough words to describe how many hearts ❤ she touched throughout her life. The words that come to my mind as l think about her are
genuine , loving, caring, sincere, understanding, good listener, and the most loving ❤ heart anyone could have. What truely describe Her the most, is her love for God and being a good Christian. She will be dearly missed by so many. God if it be your will, l pray now that you wrap your loving arms around her family at this time and comfort them and heal their hearts ?. Love all your family.
Brenda had such passion for life and her family. Her and Dave like two peas in a pod forever. The love for her kids, grandkids and great grandkids was so enormous. Brenda you will be missed by so many. We all love you!!!
I remember playing store in the garage as kids. She would come out to swap laundry and would pretend to buy something and play along…lol. Or sleepovers, she always had snacks ready to go….David would sneek in and try to scare us. Fun times. She was like another mom to me back then. Rarely saw her without that beautiful smile. Her and David have always held a special place in my heart and always will. Love this family.
I recall Brenda and David as engaged parents who not only loved their children, but their children’s friends. I have fond memories of Brenda as I was growing up. She always made me feel welcomed in her home. I think I loved her more as I became an adult as I viewed her through the lens of a parent and grandparent. She was a fighter that loved her family and friends fiercely. She led a life filled and surrounded by love, one that we would all be lucky to achieve.
Everytime she had a garage sale I would stop and buy some little something and visit with her before they moved. Enjoyed talking to her. She was a good neighbor. Love her and her family.
I’m so sorry for the loss here on Earth of such a beautiful soul! Brenda will always be remembered in our hearts and that huge smile will be seen on the faces of her daughters! Sending you all love and prayers!
I had the honor of knowing her since I was a little girl that lived down the street. Always beautiful and kind. She loved my sister and I. I’ll never forget walking home from school and it was raining and I stopped at her house cause I really just wanted to play with Heather not cause it was raining hard. Lol my dad was so mad. She always welcomed us with open arms!! I’ve always admired the love her and David showed each other. They were definitely role models on a good marriage but most of all a friendship with your partner!! Christy and Heather, I love you like sisters!! Praying for you guys ♥️

David and Brenda were not only my neighbors growing up, they are family. They were there for us when my Papaw and Memaw died and also when my Mom and Dad died. They were at every family function we ever had. We have deep love for them and the girls too. Brenda was always so fun to be around. The love she had for David and her family was undeniable. She will be missed greatly and forever in our hearts. We love you David, Christy, Heather and the entire family. May God bless each and every one of you as only He can.

We met Brenda and David about 40 years ago. Our kids playing sports with Kids Inc. Both our youngest ones wanted to play on the same team of the older sibling. Brenda and I thought it was so funny that the kids wanted that. Our families became very close friends. When you mentioned me of them you always mentioned the other. They were a great team and the love they had for each other was very strong. Brenda you David you both have been very special friends over the years. We love you and all of you are in our prayers. God be with all of you in this time. God in Heaven protect this this family and wrap your hedge of protection around them. Touch each and everyone of them and let them know how much Brenda loved her family. Thank you Jesus for all you do in our lives. Brenda you will be missed but never forgotten. Amen.
Our deepest and most heart felt condolences to you all at this time of sorrow, we pray for comfort, peace, and continued faith during this moment of grief,
My heart goes out to Dave, Christy and Heather during this difficult time. I pray for your peace and healing. Brenda was one of a kind, who will surely be missed by many.
I always enjoyed times spent with Brenda, and David, Brenda was my go to at parties, She always was able to add words of understanding & wisdom to any of my stories. Her smile, and laugh was truly contagious, and her friendship was timeless. At one cookout she taught me how to carve out my hotdog bun to make room for the “good stuff”. I have continued that tradition ever since that cookout, and will pass it on one day to my grandchildren in her honor. She will be missed but never forgotten.
Brands was loved by many.. Special woman!!! Prayers to all the family
My husband and I met Brenda and David 30+ years ago. Every time we were around them I was awed by the love and fun they had together. Brenda had such a precious, sincere, accepting, gracious heart. Never had a negative word to say about anything or anyone. Always a pleasure to be around! She will be missed dearly! Our most heartfelt condolences, love and prayers for David, Christy, Heather and all of the family.
We love you all! ♥️
Brenda is my cousin. Our mothers are sisters. We are the same age and were close while she lived in Lima, OH. We all loved going to grandma’s house. When Brenda moved to TX we only saw each other a few times, but those times were very memorable. As others have stated, Brenda’s smile would light up a room. David and Brenda attended a family reunion at our home in OH and she took us visiting the sites around Amarillo when we were camping at Palo Duro Canyon in TX a few years back. We kept in touch through FB and we both have a love for dogs. I will miss you my beautiful cousin. Peace and love.
I am so sad to hear of Brenda’s passing. She was such a special lady. Prayers for the Watts family.
