Khamphanh “At” Phoummyphard, 53, of Amarillo, passed away July 28, 2022. He was born June 6, 1969, in Laos to Bouaphanh Phoummyphard.
A Funeral Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at the Lighthouse Chapel, 3707 Wolflin Ave., in Amarillo.
“As you know, Khamphanh “At” was our only son/brother left in the family. He may not have been the best son or brother we had, but he was always there for us. As I remember, how we used to roommate together. He would always take care of my kids for me. Jocelyn Phoummyphard told me “Mom, uncle would always bust out his big old jar of pennies and count them one-by-one, just to make sure his niece and nephew got an ice cream.”
He also was the handyman of Foxglove St. who would go around and help neighbors with yard work. He was always good at helping others, and we will always remember “At” for his good deeds.”
“At” was preceded in death by his stepfather, Phonh Phoummyphard, and a son, Khamphanh Phoummyphard, Jr.
Those left to cherish his memories are his mother, Bouaphanh Phoummyphard; his daughter, Jazmine Phoummyphard; sisters, Douangphachanh Phoummyphard, Jennifer McGuire, and Lesa Phoummyphard; eleven nieces, five nephews, and one niece and one nephew on the way.
Then I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write: ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’” “Blessed indeed,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, and their deeds follow them.”
