José M. Renteria passed away peacefully into the loving arms of God at the age of 74, after a lengthy illness, with his wife and daughter by his side. He was born November 28, 1950, Plácido and Petra Renteria in LaVille, Texas.  He married Janie Vargas in 1972 and together they raised six children.

Jose worked as a welder in Texas and Oklahoma as well as working alongside several farmers and ended up working for Western Fibers until he retired.

José enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandchildren. He loved taking his wife out to eat and long drives admiring the country view. He enjoyed fishing in his younger days, once at home he enjoyed relaxing and watching western movies. John Wayne was his favorite actor.

Jose M. Renteria was preceded in death by his parents Placido and Petra Renteria; his sister’s Lydia and Alma; and two brothers Jaimie and Jose A. Renteria; a son Jose Robert; a daughter, Janet Renteria, and a grandson Jose V. Renteria.

Jose M. Renteria is survived by his loving wife Janie Vargas Renteria; his daughter’s Joanne, Jessica and Christina (Salvador Garcés); his sons John and Jose Junior; his brother George, and 22 grandchildren and many more nieces and nephews to mention.
