It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Adrian Aavier Pineda, a vibrant 15-year-old teenager from Amarillo, Texas, who peacefully journeyed to the Lord and Savior on September 11, 2024, surrounded by his loving family at their home in Lorenzo, Texas.
Adrian, born on October 29, 2008, in Amarillo, Texas to Carlos Pineda and Ofelia Martinez, was known for his bravery, strength, and generous spirit, always encouraging others to “Live Life to the Fullest.”
He found joy in shopping, listening to music, playing video games, and spending time with his family, particularly his siblings. Adrian also cherished assembling Lego models, trail riding in his buggy, and shooting guns. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Adrian was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Lino and Olivia Martinez, Uncle Johnny Martinez, and paternal grandfather Guillermo Pineda.
He is survived by his father Carlos Pineda, and stepmother Anna of Lorenzo, Texas; his mother Ofelia Martinez of Amarillo, Texas; his sister, Mariah Pineda-Sanchez, and her husband Angel of Amarillo, Texas; his brothers Carlos Pineda Jr. and Dominic Pineda, of Amarillo, Texas; as well as stepsiblings Marissa Sanchez, and Micah Deleon of Lorenzo, Texas and Ricky Pineda of Amarillo, Texas. He is also survived by his paternal grandmother Maria Concepcion Pineda-Davila of Amarillo, Texas, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and his beloved nephew Azriel King Sanchez of Amarillo, Texas.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Adrian’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church, 4304 SE 10th Ave, Amarillo. Arrangements are under the care of Lighthouse Funeral Home.

I was Adrian’s 2nd grade teacher at South Lawn. He was such a sweet, intelligent boy. He loved playing football with his friends and had an infectious smile. My heart is broken for his family and they will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Adrian and I shared a lot of memories , I remember when I would get snacks for school , he’d tell me to bring him hot Cheetos every morning . My favorite memory with Adrian , is the day he came too my apartment, we hung out , bought a bunch of snacks , sat at the park and just watched the cars go by , talked about life , and enjoyed the moment , we laughed a lot , I wish we had more time , he will be missed very much !! , rest in paradise my friend .🕊❤️.
Me and adrian shared a tutoring class in 8th grade, he always knew how to make me laugh he was a big person in my life trough middle school, me and him would always get in trouble for talking and messing with eachother in that class, we got really close and then somehow it all ended, i always wanted to text him to see how he was doing and see if he was getting better, i never really did maybe a couple times but i never wanted to annoy him, he was so sweet and a caring person i regret not texting him. i prayed for him and for cancer to go away i just wish i didn’t something more to help with, i hope he lived life to the fullest and made as much memories as he could, he will be missed very deeply but i pray he is in the hands of the lord now❤️
Wow, knowing this moment was coming still doesn’t make it easy. My family and I got to know Adrian thru my daughter’s foundation. He was actually our 1st recipient thru the foundation. He got himself a new pair of Jordan’s. That’s how we honor Kennedi. Adrian’s favorite color was purple just like Kennedi. At first we didn’t see his eyes much bc he always wore this pair of sunglasses and we couldn’t see his eyes. Lol, Adrian became one of our favorite ppl. He accepted Christ in June of 2023 and was baptized on July 28, 2024. He became cancer free on September 11, 2024. I’m sure Kennedi was part of the welcoming party. I told him that when he got to heaven to tell her that we missed her very much and will always love her. He promised he would relay the message. Such a sweet spirit he was. Adrian knew what was coming and he was good with that bc he knew where he was going and who he would spend eternity with. Jesus! Adrian made memories with My husband and I we loved him as our own. And the beautiful thing is that we get to see him again. Ty, God for Carlos & Anna for allowing us the opportunity to know such a boy. A boy with the biggest heart. A boy with God’s own heart. Adrian’s quote was “live life to the fullest “. And that he did. Till we meet again mijo.
I had Adrian as a student for 2 years in tutoring at Fannin. Adrian was always keeping us entertained and smiles on our faces. Adrian was an enthusiastic and passionate kid that I always looked forward to seeing in class. I am deeply saddened that the world has lost his light and energy. My condolences to his family and friends. He will be missed forever and I will carry his memory with me forever.
I just read this and I do not know him but I know he was such a wonderful boy who brought joy to everyone and he had many adventures and memory’s with his family and friends and I will send all my love to adrian and his family. Forever will you be remembered.rest in peace adrian. Fly high♥️🕊️
