With profound sorrow, we share the passing of our beloved Alice Jean Stewart, affectionately known as “Robbie” to many, whose earthly journey concluded on February 4, 2025. Born on January 16, 1930, in Pampa, Texas, Alice’s life was a testament to the values of compassion, creativity, generosity, and inspiration.
Alice was an extraordinary woman who lived her life with a generous spirit and a heart filled with love for her family, friends, and faith. For over 40 years, she co-owned a Bible, book, and gift store in Pampa, Texas, where her creative flair and inspiring personality touched countless lives. Her passion for travel led her to explore all states but Hawaii, always adding new stories to her collection. Alice’s creativity didn’t stop at her business; she found joy in the arts and crafts, square dancing with the Calico Capers Square Dance Club, and outdoor pursuits like hunting, fishing, and camping.
Deeply spiritual, Alice dedicated her life to serving God. As a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church in Pampa, Texas, she served as an elder and lay pastor, contributing her creativity to numerous church programs and events. Alice’s love for children was evident in her ministry, and she found much joy in serving them. In her final years, she joined her son Randall and daughter-in-law Julie at River Fellowship, a non-denominational Christian church in Amarillo. As written in the Bible, “Well done, good and faithful servant…Enter into the joy of your master” (Matthew 25:23). Alice truly was a good and faithful servant, whose love for Jesus Christ and dedication to serving the Lord was her life’s passion.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Mildred Robinson, her brother, Keith Robinson, and her loving husband, Ocie Stewart. She is survived by her son, Randall Stewart, daughter-in-law Julie Stewart, her adoring grandson Chase Stewart, and great-grandson Inri Stewart.
As her son, I can affirm that Alice was an incredible mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her love, wisdom, and faith have shaped us, and her legacy will continue to inspire us. This is not only a tribute to Alice’s life but also a place where we can collectively remember and celebrate the remarkable woman she was.
To know Alice was to love her! We spent many, many hours together. It was my honor and privilege to take care of her and hold her hand as she prepared for glory! Without a doubt on Tuesday morning she heard “Well done my good and faithful servant great is your reward!”

I am sorry to read this, sorry for your loss. When I worked at Heard-Jones pharmacy she was a favorite customer, always a smile.
Most who knew her later in life called her Jean. She was a remarkable woman and friend to so many. You will be missed Jean. Rest knowing you are loved by so many.
I grew up on Lowry St and feel sure that Jean and Ocie lived down the street. I can remember my mother, Lou Ann Lowe taking me to the Gift Box and she and Jean were friends. She was such a smart and likeable person and I’m so glad I have sweet memories of her. She had another lady that worked there too but I can’t remember names. She truly was a good and faithful servant.
Jean was a wonderful lady! She was always so supportive of everything I was involved in : the scout troop at the church, my community activities, and the times I was leading worship at the church. Jean’s smile and good humor filled every room with God’s light. I am blessed to have called here my friend!
I remember Jean operating the Gift Box. Always a greeting and a smile. She was such a sweet lady. God Blessed her with a gift to make people feel loved.
Jean was such a support for me after Fran had passed. She would hold my hand, smile and tell me how God was with me and my family. Her hands were soft and I felt the warmth and love.
I loved her smile and I admire her always and strived to learn from her, knowledge of the Bible. God bless you faithful servant.
