Alvin “Joe” Locke, 92 years old, of Logan, New Mexico went to be with his Lord and Savior surrounded by family on November 1, 2025, while in hospice care in Amarillo, Texas.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 29,2026, at the First United Methodist Church in Logan, NM.
Joe was born on May 29, 1933, to Frank and Sue Locke in Corpus Christi, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his wife Emma “Lee” Locke, his parents Frank and Sue Locke; a daughter Teresa Locke, brothers Richard, Gerald Wayne and sister Faye Dean.
Those left to cherish his memory are; brothers and sister, Jessie, LD (Spooky), Thurman and twins Bobby and Betty; Sons, Danny Locke and Ricky Locke and wife Anita; Grandchildren, Traci Walker and husband David, Erin House, Amanda Harbert, Ezra Ramirez and wife Shilo, Isaiah Ramirez and wife Ashley and Josh Ramirez; Great-grandchildren, Tyler Walker, Emma Walker, Amy Barrett, Rylie Barrett, Maci Barrett, Lani House, Paige Gomez and husband Jesse, Maegen Britten, Randi Britten, Cayden Britten, Lexi Ramirez, Evan Ramirez and Noah Ramirez, and Great-great grandchildren, Rayleigh Gomez, Matthew Gomez, Brynnlee Gomez, Aspen Britten, and Luca Barrett and numerous nieces and nephews.
Joe is more than a brother-in-law! He taught me a lot of skills as I would endeavor to remodel or add- on. I will forever appreciate all he did and taught me! We enjoyed him at a lot of our Christmas’s and Easter’s. He lost Lee and I lost Bobby so we had a lot of good visits. I definitely loved him like a brother!
Joe and Lee were neighbors to my husband’s family Gene and Doris George in Hereford, Tx. Years later Joe and Lee were Tom and my back neighbors when we had a vacation home at Ute Lake. They were both sweet people.Knowing Joe and Lee r together again in heaven will bring peace to his family.
