Amber Louise Arend Burkhalter, 45, went to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, March 10, 2025, in Amarillo, Texas.

Services will be at 6:30pm, on Monday March 17, 2025, at San Jacinto Assembly of God Church, 400 N. Georgia St, Amarillo Texas, with Pastor Eric Brooks officiating. Arrangements are by Lighthouse Funeral Services. Music and photos provided by the family. Facebook information will also be provided.

Amber was born in Amarillo Texas, on August 9, 1979. She went to school at Christian Heritage, San Jacinto Elementary and Tascosa High School. She was known by everyone and everywhere she went. She was popular in school, loved at work, and a cherished sister and wife. Amber loved music, going to concerts, sharing pictures, getting tattoos, her animals, movies and shows, spending time with family and friends.
She met the mutual eternal love of her life, Ryan Burkhalter. It was literally “Love at First Sight.” They were married on July 29, 2013.

She was loved so deeply and cherished, we will never forget her beautiful smile and warm hugs. She was such a beautiful person inside and out. A Wife, Sister, Mom, Aunt, Daughter, Niece, Cousin, Sister-in-law, and Friend, words can’t describe our love for her, and she will forever be missed. This world is without her light, but the angels above have gained a beautiful soul. This world became dark and hard to handle, Amber is in the light forever shining now. She is in the stars when we look out at night. She’s the face we will see when we lay our heads down to rest. We will remember her every day when we wake. When we turn on the radio, and when her songs play, we will sing. She is with Dad dancing now and with loved ones. We will share memories, never forget her laugh, the things we said and did together, the stories she shared. She is a part of our life story. Her memory will live on forever through all of us. She touched and shared her life with everyone she met. We are so honored to have known her, shared a life with her, we will forever Love you sweet Amber.

Amber was preceded in death by her father, William Eugene Arend Sr., of Rollins, MT, grandfather William Eugene Arend, grandmother Louise V. Shelpman.

Amber is survived by her devoted husband, Ryan, children Seth Quinton Allen, Sebastian Quade Allen, Kailee Rain Parson, Keegan Damein Willliam Parson, Hannah Burkhalter, and Ian Burkhalter, mother Donna Joy Johnson, sister, Toni May Arend, mother-in-law Robecca Roberts, sister-in-law Becca Collins, brothers-in-law Bradly Caple, and Charles Collins, nieces Madison Kay Caple, Nova Billie Caple, and McKenzie DeFever, nephews, Chance Bridges and Steven Simon, grandmother Zona L. Arend of Indianapolis, five uncles, Bobby, Joe, Nailer, Jasper, and Lindell Arend, aunt Kathy, uncle Brian Carter, aunt Sharon Cole, cousins Dawn Cole, Nathan Cole, Eric Arend, their spouses, numerous cousins, and second cousins.
