We are sad to announce the passing of Armond “Dee” Ebbs Jr., 62, of Amarillo, Texas. Dee passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of May 12, 2023, surrounded by loved ones at Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo, Texas.
Dee was born on June 3, 1960, to Armond Dee Ebbs Sr. and Elizabeth Ann Ebbs (Roberts) in Tulia, Texas.
He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, a beloved son, father, uncle, brother, and friend. Dee loved Jesus, fishing, fast cars, and writing poetry. He also enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys and Bartering Knives and Swords. Dee was a kind man, who loved to help the homeless and would give a stranger the shirt off his own back.
Dee was preceded in death by his parents, Armond Dee Ebbs Sr. and Elizabeth Ann Ebbs; his beloved son, Brandon Ebbs, and grandson Jason Petty.
Dee is survived by his children, a son, Sean Ebbs, a daughter, Jammie Petty; two grandchildren, Tyler Price, and Ira Price, three great-grandchildren, Haylie Petty, Aurora Petty, Kaylub Petty; three brothers, Lee Ebbs, Coy Ebbs, and Jesse Ashcraft Sr., as well as his nieces and nephews, CJ Ebbs, Tina Neusch, Aahliyah Holtman, Ashton Holtman, Joeli Neusch, Renea Arias, Gabriel Arias, Joseph Arias, David Ebbs, Michael Ebbs, Jesse Ashcraft Jr., Jonathan Ashcraft, Zach Henderson, and Cody Henderson.
Family and friends are welcome to attend a Celebratory Memorial Service in Dee’s honor at 1:00, Saturday, May 20, at Lighthouse Funeral Home Chapel, 3707 Wolflin Ave., Amarillo, Texas.
Dee was a great brother inlaw.He was always laughing or he would make me laugh when he was huffing and puffing under atree.I will never forget the day Coy brought him home when he was cut with his chainsaw.Dee was still laughing!
