Blake Bryant, 62, of Amarillo passed away on April 8, 2025. He was born in Clovis, New Mexico on March 13, 1963, to Bo Bryant and Carol Bryant Hinton.
A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held on Monday, April 14, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., at Lighthouse Funeral Home, 3707 Wolflin Ave.
Blake graduated from Clarendon High School in 1982. He served in the U.S. Army. After his service, he worked at Ben E. Keith, Budweiser Distribution, R.L. Carriers, and D.J. of the Caravan.
Blake loved to entertain. He was a great cook and enjoyed barbecues, and backyard cookouts. Blake was a lover of all kinds of music. One of his favorite artists was Johnny Cash and Blake loved his song, “A Boy Named Sue.”
He was a Texas Tech fan, who enjoyed playing golf, and watching NASCAR. He played Roulette “Black 28.”
Blake was a rebel with a heart of gold. He gave so much….meals, a room, money, and groceries, so much more for anyone in need. To know him was to love him. You always knew where you stood with Blake.
We will miss him so very much, but we know he is living an eternal life in Heaven… probably fishing with Granddad.
Blake was preceded in death by his parents, Bo Bryant and Carol Bryant Hinton; his grandparents, Clarence and Carolyn Hamilton, and a cousin, BJ Hamilton.
Left to cherish his memory are his sister, Belinda Tindell and husband Stephen; his brother Brett Bryant and wife Dawnya; nephews, Trevor Guy and wife Stacy, Barron Bryant and wife Kelly; a niece, Tia Van Ryn and Husband Jeremy; great nephews, Trey Guy, Tripp Guy, Legend Van Ryn, Amber Bryant daughter, and Bailee, granddaughter; uncles, Jim Bryant and wife Anita, and uncle Clarence Hamilton II and aunt Debbie; aunts, Jane Blackburn and husband Bobby, and Carol Ann, as well as numerous cousins and friends. He is also survived by his four-legged friend and companion, “Harley,” and two very special guys that are like brothers to Blake, Tim Steiner and Charles Dove. We thank you for always being there for Blake.
The family also wishes to express a very special “thank you” to the special people at Interim Hospice, Cornerstone, and the VA for your care of Blake.
Blake gonna miss you and I’m fortunate to know you as your neighbor and roommate and Friend. We had a lot of great night conversations when I got home from work. And as I know your in a better place my ears are still hearing you ask me….Charles could you make me a drink!! Lol.
Blake, I remember our, not so long ago, last conversation. I’m sorry we didn’t have more. I’m glad you are no longer suffering and may you rest in peace.
