Bobby Edward Moore, 69, passed away on August 12, 2024, peacefully with loved ones at his side. He was born on April 13, 1955, in Austin, Texas to Hubert and Larois Moore.
Bobby grew up in Amarillo, Texas where he graduated from Caprock High School in 1973 and then enlisted in the Army. He later began a career at Owens Corning where he retired after a dedicated 25+ years. Bobby was someone who brought laughter and lightness to any room. He was a funny soul with a big personality, blessed with a witty sense of humor that he generously shared with everyone around him. A spirited individual, Bobby’s energy and laugh were infectious, and his talent as a musician was undeniable. His love of music began at the early age of 5, being self-taught. With his talent, Bobby rocked on playing many local venues with his band Skratch for 13 years where he made many lifelong friends/ extended families. Bobby also was a loyal Denver Broncos fan, avid animal lover, and enjoyed fishing in the mountains.
Bobby is preceded in death by his parents Hubert and Larois Moore, and his sister Pamela Raymond.
Bobby is survived by his daughters, Heather Lawson, Krystal Moore and her fiancé Rodney Yarbrough, and Ashlyn Moore; his siblings, Mike Moore (Jackie), Debbie Durham (Tom), Penny Johnson (Jeff), and brother-in-law, Rick Raymond. He was “Crazy Papa” to Katelyn Moore, Braxton Holmes, Brittain Moore, Jordan and Shelby Williams, Aaryan Clark, Chanslyr Wimberly, David, Andrew and Natalie Lawson along with 6 great grandchildren. And many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and his beloved dog Willie.
A Celebration of Life will be held on September 15, 2024 at The Barn on Willow Creek, 4801 East Willow Creek Dr., Amarillo, Texas 79108 from 1-4pm. In honor of Bobby, we encourage you to share your memories, music and laughter to commemorate a life well-lived, a man well-loved, and a spirit that will be cherished in our memories forever.
I have so many memories being ..either BBQs ,going on camping /fishing trips,concerts, you name it him and my dad had a good friendship for along time … I remember at one point was I was going to take up music lessons but backed out for years that has bothered me that I didn’t. Rat eatin cheese 🥹 .. You are so deeply missed 💔 until we see each other again R.I.P
When I was 15 me and a friend would go over and take guitar lessons from Bobby and Dan awesome guy sorry for your loss
RIP Bobby, I was greatly surprised to see and hear of your passing. It has been many years since we seen each other. We had some good times and memories when we were brothers in laws. Working for Mr. Burger and Norman Blankinship. I have many good memories of this man when we were young and dumb and I will keep those to myself for now. God bless and God speed my friend.

Bobby was such a great friend. I known him 51 years. What wonderful memories and times we had. I am so glad I got to see him before he passed. He was the longest friend I’ve ever had in my life.A part of me is missing now, but I know he is not suffering no more. He is in a better place. REST IN PEACE 🙏 BOBBY, JOEY

With a heavy heart…I loved this Gentle Soul…I met Bobby about 20 yrs ago when I was in a place he was rocking…I was the only person of color there but it didn’t change a thing…we ROCKED…Then Bobby and I realized we lived in the same neighborhood…just around a few blocks…he knew my car and I his truck and we were always waving and tooting…what a wonderful person…I will miss him…Sending my Thoughts and Prayers to the Family…Rest In Paradise My Friend.
I worked for Bobby when I was 18-19 at Mr. Burger. He always kept us laughing through all the heat and hard work.

A fricken funny human, knew Bobby at pleasant valley, Cindy and I bought our first house from him spent a lot of time playing spades and drinken tequila. God rest his soul. Hope to see ya there
Bobby and Mike used to hang out at my house out at the old air base housing. I still have that old pioneer stereo. It’s 52 years old now. Like someone else said those were fun times and a long time ago.

Skratch…… that’s how I remember him .I couldn’t wait for skratch to play ANYWHERE BECAUSE I WAS GOING . He worked with my then long time boyfriend at Owens Corning . I loved him and I loved that band . . Couldn’t wait to push my way to the front to dance the last song of the night
” Stranglehold ” ….. Him and the rest of the band always brought a packed house … Great musician … all of them . With him previously working with my boyfriend. He would come sit at our table and the times we had were such fun . He was a great guy I really hate to see that he has passed . We lost a great guy but heaven gain a wonderful angel .
