It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Brian Lee Henke, age 68, of Amarillo, Texas, on November 15, 2025.

Brian was born on February 24, 1957, in Blue Earth, Minnesota, to Robert “Bob” and Marceline “Marcie” Henke. He was the second of their six children. In 1959, the family moved to Amarillo, where Brian grew up and made his lifelong home. He attended Amarillo High School, proudly participating in both wrestling and football, and graduated with the Class of 1975. Shortly after, he began his career as a truck driver, a job he dedicated himself to throughout his working life.

Brian was a kind and gentle soul who cherished time spent with his family and friends. He loved his nieces and nephews deeply and treated them as if they were his own. Bowling was his favorite pastime; he could often be found at the bowling alley, smiling warmly with a Pepsi in hand.

Brian is survived by his siblings: Dean Henke and wife Linda, Brad Henke, Vaughn Henke, Shelly Henke, and Brenda McMahon and husband Ray, all of Amarillo. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Marceline Henke, and his nephew, Bobby Henke.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Georgia Manor Nursing Home for their many years of compassionate care, support, and kindness shown to Brian.
