Brittani Marie Salazar “Bri”, 30, passed away on May 18, 2026. She was born on May 16, 1996, in Amarillo, Texas, to Joe Salazar and Rocio Aguilar Salazar.
She was an amazing mother to Kristopher Kruz “Bubba” Licon. As she had always ensured that all of us in the family stayed close and together, she also made sure we knew it was with love. Her love was endless. Every day, she kept updating her makeup, which was her favorite thing to do, and always cooked to keep the family fed. Her favorite thing to say was “No s#% Sherlock!”
Brini, you will be truly missed by all of us!!! It will be a struggle without your smart remarks and everyday banter, but we do know that, in spirit, you will be here. Please let mom know we love and miss her so much! Love our dogs and give them lots of scratches. We have been missing them!
She was preceded in death by her mother, Rocio Aguilar Salazar, and her grandfather, Julio Aguilar.
She is survived by her father, Joe Salazar; son, Kristopher Kruz Licon; brother, Marcos, and wife Yessenia Caldera; sister, Marcy Salazar; grandmother, Eva Rocha; nieces, Phoenix Salazar, Naima, Mia, and Malaniya; and Kristopher’s father, Alan Licon.
Baby sister, I will forever miss you. You always be in my heart thoughts and prayers. I love you.

Bri was always so kind and sweet to me !! In high school she stuck up for me so many times when I was getting bullied! She was so strong and beautiful! She will definitely be missed 🙏🏻
I will always remember the times when you would walk down the street to my house and I would wait outside for you because your mom didn’t want you to pass down those houses alone. You were just a little girl who grew up to be a beautiful young woman. Your heart was always pure and your love never failed. Thank you for the beautiful memories and for loving me and my girls. My dear friend. The most pretty face. I would tell her “you look like a fairy” because of her beautiful features. All the sleep overs at my sisters/parents house, house parties, cutting up, getting ready together, and our life changing events. Bri was around the family a lot during our crazy high school days. She really helped boost my confidence and never failed to remind me “I had a big booty” and tell me I was beautiful when mean girls in high school said I was ugly. Love you always sis. Bri was truly one of the sweetest souls I ever met. We became friends back in middle school and stayed friends through high school and even after. She came to my son’s first birthday party, and I got to be there for her son’s first birthday too. Those are memories I’ll always hold close to my heart.
She was the kind of person who was beautiful inside and out. I used to always tell people she was the prettiest girl in Amarillo because to me, she truly was. Not just because of how gorgeous she looked, but because of how kind, genuine, and caring she was to everyone around her. Reading everyone’s memories and stories about her just shows how many lives she touched with her kindness.
We had our ups and downs through the years, but one thing I will never forget is how sweet she always was and how much love she carried in her heart. Most of all, I know how deeply she loved her little boy. He was her whole world, and you could see that in everything she did.
