Bryson Scott Hobbs, known affectionately as “Busy Bryson,” was a spirited, compassionate, and deeply humble soul whose presence painted a vibrant hue in the lives of all who knew him. Born on July 25, 2002, in Lubbock, TX, Bryson was a beacon of light, love, and laughter. His heart was a haven of humility, existing to uplift, to embrace, and to inspire. His was a life lived with simplicity yet filled with unfathomable depth. Bryson’s endearing and funny personality, coupled with his unforgettable laugh and smile, had the power to light up any room and warm the coldest of hearts.

Bryson was a gifted artist, an avid gamer, and a passionate Decathlon competitor, having competed at the state level during his high school years at Monterey in Lubbock. Bryson’s love for art and gaming was only overshadowed by his love for his family and friends. He was particularly close to our family dogs, Brutus and Sasha, whose faces lit up in joy every time Bryson was near. This love extended to his occupation as a busser at Olive Garden, where he spent four years serving others with the same compassion and warmth he showed at home. Bryson was a devout follower of a non-denominational belief system, finding solace and strength in the words, “Let all that you do be done in love.”

Bryson is survived by his mother, Shawnell Hobbs, his siblings, Brett Allison, Brandon Allison, and Hannah Hobbs, and his aunts, Tessy Walton, Sarah Cole, Trashell Miller, Nicole Walton, and Andrea. He was preceded in death by his father, Scott Hobbs, and his grandparents, Paul Walton, Rhonda Walton, Sue Hobbs, and Michael Hobbs. Bryson’s humble and compassionate nature, his love for family, friends, and pets, and his dedication to serving others are the qualities that will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
