Carol Sue Dreadin, 77, of Amarillo, passed away on May 27, 2025. She was born on January 16, 1948, in Amarillo Texas to Lester Lee Hearn and Catherine Marie DeFrange.
She worked as a dialysis nurse until her retirement. Carol enjoyed slot games and traveling, and she loved her kids and grandchildren.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Lester Lee and Catherine Hearn; daughter, Christi Dawn Hamilton; son, Ronny Dewayne Dreadin, and grandson, Christopher Joseph Ortiz.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Troy Dreadin and spouse Rochelle; sister, Linda Stanley; granddaughters, Jessica Rene Ortiz and Katelyn Davis (Skylier); grandson, Harley Alvarado; great-granddaughters, Carolyn Rene Ortiz, Millie Sanchez, Thea and Ellie Davis, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Lighthouse Funeral Home, 3707 Wolflin Ave., Amarillo, Texas.
Nicki, Stacy & I took Carol, Linda and my mom (Shalon) on a cruise one time. We had some funny adventures and best times on that trip. Carol was a lot of fun and she had a heart of gold. I will treasure the memories we made.
Contagious Laughter, Champagne Lover, and Life of the Party… Aunt Carol, I still can’t figure out how you were able to make rubbing your feet and back so enticing that all the cousins fought over doing it ☺️
