Cristopher Paul Carr, 58, of Amarillo passed away on June 2, 2025. He was born Saturday, March 4, 1967, in Amarillo to James and Sondra (West) Carr.
Chris was a jack of all trades most recently apartment maintenance and truck driving. There was absolutely nothing he could not fix. He dabbled in cars, house repairs, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, you name it!
To know Chris was to love him, but you had to stick around long enough to know him. He loved cars and everything about them. Chris had a huge heart for animals and truly tried to save them all. He will be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Sondra Carr; a brother, James E. Carr; a son, Dalton Carr, and his grandparents, Ernest and Ella Carr.
Survivors include two daughters, Madison Carr and Chevelle Carr; two sons, Chris Carr, Jr. and Shelby Carr; a granddaughter, Nirvana Carr; two close friends who were like brothers, Robert Scott and Bobby Upton; Dustin Harold, who was like a son; Connie Carr, his ex-wife and friend; stepmother, Marcia Carr; stepsister, Cindy Herrera and husband Eric; nieces, Tamra Carr and husband DeShawn of Edmond, Oklahoma, Krystal Carlisle and her family of Amarillo, and Ana Carr of Stillwater, Oklahoma, and nephews, Sean Carr and Cameron Carr, both of Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Lighthouse Funeral Home, 3707 Wolflin Ave. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 14200 Interstate 27, Amarillo.
The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday, June 6, from 6:00-8:00 p.m.
Chris was an amazing person. He had a huge ❤️ heart. Chris was a faithful husband and loved his lids dearly. His family meant the world to him.I have known Chris since 1985 and I can tell you there is nothing he wouldn’t do to help someone who needed it. He was loved by many and will be missed by all. Until we meet again my friend rest easy.
Chris a great friend and I always considered him my younger brother from a different mother. He was always available to help me and my family with any request. I will miss him and will remember him always
Chris was a very unique and good man, and a great friend. He did so much for me and Robert and everyone in our family. He never said no and was never too tired or busy. I always felt comfort knowing he was just a few doors down. He knew everything that was happening on Wheatstraw Rd. The street will never be the same and neither will we. I’m grateful to have known him and I’ll miss him terribly. RIP Christopher. ❤️
It’s hard to put into words the things in our hearts right now. It’s never easy to say goodbye and feels almost impossible. Your presence will remain in the stories and memories we hold dear. You were loved by everyone whose life you touched Rest easy now Chris. You will never be forgotten.
I new Chris since I was moved here in 1979 we were good friends all throughout are teenage years and had some crazy times together I’ll always remember the baby blue ford we ran around in and will miss the great friend I had he will truly be missed
Chris and I worked together for 10 years! I loved and adored him and his family. I have watched his kids grow up along with him watching mine. We argued all the time, but then would laugh about it 10 minutes later. We always respected each other. You will truly be missed!
I just found out about him passing, he was the maintenance at the apartment’s i live in, no matter how busy he was he would always take time out to stop by and visit with my daddy. Chris you will truly be missed, iam sure my daddy has found you, and talking your ear off
I recently found out about Chris. He was an amazing person! He was the maintenance guy at the apartment complex that I lived at. I moved out and my daughter stayed. He looked after her! Prayers for his family 🙏
