Concepción Flores Maldonado, de 84 años, de Amarillo, falleció el 24 de octubre de 2024, rodeada de su amorosa familia.  Ella nació el 18 de octubre de 1940 en Los Garcia Meoqui Chihuahua.

Era una mujer de Dios.  Le encantaba conversar con todo el mundo.  Le gustaba especialmente recordar su vida en México.  A Concepción le gustaba escuchar béisbol los domingos con su coca-cola en la mano.

Rezaba el rosario todos los días y se mantuvo firme en su fe hasta su último aliento.

A Concepción le precedió en la muerte su amado esposo, Alfonso Arroyo; sus padres, Tomás Flores y Adela Maldonado, y dos hermanas, Ofelia Flores y María de Jesús Domínguez.

Quedan para atesorar su memoria sus hijas, Silvia Baeza, Ángela Vega y María Mata; sus hijos, Cecilio Arroyo, Alfonso Arroyo y Javier Arroyo, y dos hermanos, Gerardo Flores y Fransisco Flores. También le sobreviven sus yernos, 18 nietos, 39 bisnietos y varios tataranietos.

Los servicios funerarios y Rosario se llevarán a cabo a las 5:30 p.m. el lunes 28 de octubre de 2024, en Lighthouse Funeral Home, 3707 Wolflin Ave.

Concepción Flores Maldonado 84, of Amarillo, passed away on October 24, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on October 18, 1940, in Los Garcia Meoqui Chihuahua.

She was a woman of God.  Concepcion enjoyed having conversations with everyone, especially to remember her life in Mexico.  Concepcion enjoyed listening to baseball on Sundays with her Coca-Cola in hand.  She prayed the Rosary every day and remained strong in her faith until her final breath.

Concepcion was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alfonso Arroyo; her parents, Tomas Flores and Adela Maldonado, and two sisters, Ofelia Flores, and Maria de Jesus Dominguez.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Silvia Baeza, Angela Vega, and Maria Mata; her sons, Cecilio Arroyo, Alfonso Arroyo, and Javier Arroyo, and two brothers, Gerardo Flores, and Fransisco Flores. She is also survived by her sons-in-law, 18 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, and several great-great grandchildren.

Funeral Services and Rosary will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, October 28, 2024, at Lighthouse Funeral Home, 3707 Wolflin Ave.
