Cora Marie Norton, 83, of Amarillo, passed away on June 2, 2025. She was born in Claude, Texas on September 21, 1941, to Roy and Juanita (Bramlet) Brown.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, June 5, from 6:00-8:00 p.m., at Lighthouse Funeral Home Chapel, 3707 Wolflin Ave. Funeral Services will be held this Friday, June 6, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the same location.

Marie loved crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles, and watching jeopardy. She loved collecting M&M memorabilia, and lighthouses. Marie loved flowers, especially yellow roses and daisies.

She found great joy in taking care of people, which made her a great LVN. She served as a nurse at Hall County Hospital for 21 years.

Marie loved country music and enjoyed dancing and attending concerts. George Strait was her favorite singer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Juanita and Roy Brown; her husband Russell Lee Norton; her sons, Melvin Russell Guinn and Raymond Leroy Norton; a sister, Altha Lavita (Kay) Miller, and a brother, Johnny Marvin Brown.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Debra Juanita Criddle and her husband Ronald Wayne, and Debra Ann Guinn; her sisters, Billie Helen Ford and Gracie May Burkenhalter; brother Roy Clayton Brown, 9 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
