Cynthia Louise Price “Cindy” was born in Amarillo, Texas, on October 11, 1962, and passed away on August 23, 2026. The fourth of four children, she was the life of the household, and her brothers and her sister learned to make way for Cindy’s strong will, sharp wit, and forceful personality.
From a young age, Cindy loved animals, primarily dogs and horses. She spent her happiest childhood hours at a family ranch outside Amarillo with her grandfather, Leland W. Abbott, herding cattle and riding horses. She kept a horse and rode barrels at Amarillo Range Riders and made a memorable Range Riders Junior Queen with her long, flowing blond hair and striking blue eyes.
Following graduation from Amarillo High School, she married a rancher on her 18th birthday and raised 3 boys who were well acquainted with hunting, trail rides, and fried calf-fries eaten during country cookouts. Newly single after raising her sons, she purchased a FedEx route and delivered packages despite her petite 5’2” frame.
Cindy was preceded in death by her beloved son, Jacob “Lee” Leland Price, and her father, Robert S. Rudd.
She is survived by her mother, Barbara L. Rudd; sons Robert “Robby” M. Price (wife Jill) and Monte Price (wife Taryn) and Monte’s sons Liam and Lane Price, as well as her brothers Steven R. Rudd and James L. Rudd; sister Susan R. Groce (husband Thomas) and numerous nieces and nephews. Cindy will be memorialized in a private family ceremony.
Cindy’s family would like to thank Mary Johnson of Helping Hands for her loving care of Cindy in her final days. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cindy’s name to the Salvation Army of Amarillo, 400 Harrison St., Amarillo, Texas 79101.

I dont have a single child hood memory without Cindy in it. So many fun times of her and her boys coming to the ranches we lived on. She always took me to the movies and out to eat at kabuki and then the mall and dipping dots she was always kind to me as a kiddo! I have soo many memories of her and Robby ,Lee and Monte.
I was truly saddened to hear about Cindy’s passing. It’s hard to believe it has been several years since we last saw each other. Cindy and I shared many years, conversations, laughter, and memories, and despite the difficult times, I will always remember the good times and the person I loved. I’m grateful for the good memories we shared, and I hope she has finally found the peace she struggled to find in this life.

Even though we didn’t know Cindy personally we knew her boys and they are fine men,true to family and wonderful support when their mom needed them. Prayers for the family.
