Daniel Alfred Boyd

With great sorrow, we announce the passing to glory of Daniel Alfred Boyd. He was born October 23, 1966 and passed Friday, June 16, 2023 at 56 years old in Amarillo, Texas where he was proud to call his home. Daniel was born to David and Mary Boyd in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at Lighthouse Funeral Home, 3707 Wolflin Ave, Amarillo, with Pastor Joe Kirkwood of Cornerstone Worship Center officiating.

The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, June 19, 2023.

Interment will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at the Leonard Cemetery, 450 W Hunt Street, Leonard TX 75452.

Daniel was a cherished son, brother and vital member of the community. He touched so many lives in ways most can’t imagine. He once said he was called to help people and that’s what he did. He was selfless, dependable, compassionate, humble, and loyal. He loved with all he had. Daniel was dedicated to his personal ministry for individuals and sobriety, as well as his work with the Potter County GOP Republican Party of which he was Treasurer. He had the respect of his colleagues and those he ministered to. He will be greatly missed.

Daniel was a dedicated member of Alcoholics Anonymous Top of Texas. He was a cherished and loyal friend to many people as well as a great inspiration to everyone around him. Daniel lived to help people to bring fruit to their own lives.

Daniel Boyd consistently demonstrated an unwavering dedication to the Potter County Republican Party as precinct chair, and most recently as the Party Treasurer. He actively engaged with party members, helped organize events, and tirelessly promoted Republican values and candidates. His commitment to the party’s success and tireless efforts in advancing its goals made him a true asset to the Potter County Republican Party. Daniel will be sorely missed by the executive committee of the Potter County Republican Party and the Primary Voters he represented in Precinct 326.

Daniel Boyd was a valuable member of the Potter County Republican Party. He was not a man of many words, but when he spoke everyone listened. Daniel’s time and contribution to our group will be fondly remembered. He will be greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his father David Boyd, grandparents Docie and Herman Boyd, and Charlie and Myrtie Johnson.

He is survived by his mother Lacychanti Daniella Isham, his brothers David Ray Boyd, Stephen Boyd and wife Janice, David Paul Baber, Darwin Boyd, Marcus Louque, Michael Smith and wife Amber, sisters Linda Dunn, Karen Scalice, Sherri Selter and husband Artie and numerous loved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Until we see you again Daniel… we love you.

    Mr. Boyd was a great man of wisdom. As Geni stated above, he was quiet but when he spoke everyone listed. Mr. Boyd will be missed greatly by our community. I enjoyed our committee assignments together. As a youngin, Mr. Boyd was a guide and mentor throughout the Rep. party. God Speed Daniel, thank you for your service to the RNC community.
