Daniel Camarillo, Sr., 79, of Amarillo, passed away surrounded by his loving family on March 24, 2025. He was born in San Angelo, Texas on December 18, 1945.

The family will receive visitors from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, 2025, from Lighthouse Funeral Home, 3707 Wolflin Ave. A celebration of Daniel’s life will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Fellowship Church, 5000 Hollywood Road, in the West Chapel.

Born to Clemente and Librada Camarillo on December 18,1945 in San Angelo, Texas, Daniel worked at the Coca Cola company for many years and retired in 2015. He couldn’t sit still for long, so he shortly went on to work part time for Trinity Fellowship for 10 years.

Daniel was married to the love of his life, Margie Camarillo. They were married for 54 years until she went on to be with the Lord.

Daniel was preceded in death by his wife, Margie Camarillo and parents, Clemente and Librada Camarillo; his son Daniel Camarillo, Jr.; two grandbabies Isaac Jacob, and Lluvia; two sisters Mary Ellen Zapata, Nancy Ynojosa, and three brothers David Camarillo, Clemente Camarillo Jr., and William Camarillo, who will now lovingly receive him.

He was a cherished father of five children, four who survive him, Frank and wife Isabel, Corina (Cora), Michael and wife Tommie Sue, and Michelle and husband Harvey. Daniel was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren, Nikki Camarillo, Danielle and husband Bryce Tilley, Levi Camarillo, Izabela Flores, Joel Flores, Jacob Whittington and wife Halle, Caleb Whittington and wife Katie, and Mason Camarillo; great-grandchildren are Beau and Benjamin Tilley, Walter and Bee Whittington, and Amelia Whittington, and his beloved dog Cosmo.  He is also survived by his brother Raymond Camarillo, and sister Sandra Craig both of San Angelo, Texas.

Daniel will always be remembered for his unwavering love for the outdoors whether he was hunting, fishing, or simply enjoying nature. A devoted Cowboys fan, he cheered with passion, just as he lived his life- with loyalty and heart. His physical strength was undeniable, but it was his faith that truly defined him. He walked with God every step of the way, leaning on Him through every season of his life. He was a media member at The Family Worship Center Church. His legacy of faith, love, and strength will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
