David “Dave” Eugene Wall

David “Dave” Eugene Wall was born on July 5, 1951, and passed away at the Thomas E. Creek Veterans Hospice Community Living Center on May 3, 2024, in his hometown of Amarillo, Texas. He is a graduate of Palo Duro High School.

He earned the rank of E-5 Sergeant while serving with the US Marine Corp during the years of 1968-1972. Dave is a Vietnam Veteran.

After his service with the Marines, he worked in construction and married Delvina Wall. They worked together as house parents at Boys Ranch from the years of 1985-1994 and ended with the position of Supervisor during his last year of employment there. During his time at Boys Ranch he attended Amarillo College to become a gunsmith.

He then worked as the overnight Dock Supervisor at the Amarillo Globe News. When the Amarillo Globe News shut down Dave went on to work in construction and siding houses until he retired.

He is preceded in death by his mother Patricia Wall. He is survived by his wife of 22 years Diane Wall. He is also survived by his 5 children. Jeanie Forsyth (husband Jay) of Amarillo, Texas, Michael Wall (wife Shellie) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Christopher Wall (wife Sara) of Amarillo, Texas, Daniel Wall (wife Angie) of Clovis, New Mexico, and James Wall, of Boise, Idaho, who is serving in the Navy 20+ years; and six grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Patti, Katie, Curtis, Ricky, Danny, Jamey, and several nieces and nephews.
