With heavy hearts and deep respect, we announce the passing of Dawn Sherie Maddox—known and loved by many as Sherie—who left this world on March 30, 2026. A devoted mother, a loyal friend, and a woman who lived life boldly, she leaves behind a legacy that will ride on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Sherie was a true biker at heart—cool, fearless, and free. The open road was her sanctuary, especially atop her beloved Harley-Davidson, where the roar of the engine and the wind on her face made her feel most alive. Riding wasn’t just a passion—it was a part of who she was. She embraced life with grit and grace, always ready for the next adventure and always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who crossed her path.

She is lovingly remembered by her son, Tyler Harper; her granddaughter, Addie Harper; her sister, Deena Williamson, and her husband, Dave; her brother, Brandon Maddox, and his wife, Summer; as well as many cherished nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Aaron Harper, who was tragically taken from this world. Their reunion now brings comfort to the many who mourn them both.

Those who knew Sherie will remember her for her courage, her kindness, and the unmistakable spark she brought into every room—and every road—she traveled. Her laughter, her resilience, and her deep love for her family will never be forgotten.

May she rest in peace, forever riding in wide-open skies, reunited with her son, and remembered with love by all whose lives she touched.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 6, 2026, at HIS Church, 6300 Arden Road, Amarillo, Texas, under the care of Lighthouse Funeral Home.
