Debra Lee (Perez) Wadley

Debra Lee Wadley (Perez) 51 of Amarillo passed away July18, 2024. She was born June 12,1973 in Friona Texas to Juan and Dora Perez.

Debi was an amazing mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, Tia, wife, and friend. She loved with all her heart and was very compassionate about what she believed in. She loved live music and just music in general.

She took pride in her grandkids and gardening. With Debi there was never a dull moment, she could fill a room with laughter better than anyone we have ever known. She did her best to help anyone in need and always made room for more. She touched very many lives because there wasn’t an end to her kindness and generosity. She had a heart of gold to say the least. She loved her husband, the Dallas Cowboys, and the lake.

We are happy to say she found the love of her life when she needed him the most. He took the time to understand her and make her the happiest she had ever been. Even when the road ahead was rough, he stood by her no matter what. He was there with her as she took her very last breath and she wouldn’t have had it any other way.

She will be missed by so many because of the woman she was and the impressions she made on all our hearts. Beautiful, funny, smart, brave, gentle, and giving. She just knew the words to say to lift you up if you were down. So many amazing qualities and life lessons could be learned through her trials and tribulations because she was a fighter, and she never gave up on what she believed in. She stood strong in her faith and encouraged others to do the same. Something we know for certain is that we were deeply loved by her, and we loved her equally as much.

She was preceded in death by her sister Danielle Perez; her nephew Joseph Perez, and her grandparents.

Debi is survived by her husband Tim; a daughter Saiyta, and grandson Dalton of the home; her children Cameron Campbell and wife Rochelle, Rikki Ornelas and wife Baylee Ornelas, Stephen Ornelas, Leslie Ornelas and Ryan Reed, Kristen Wadley,
Kari Wadley, and Jaxon Davis; her grandchildren, Brylee, Aubree, Jensen, Adalie, Daxton, Brexlyn, Maveryx, Aaliyah, Arley, Ana’Liyah, Tayven and Kaiden; her parents Juan and Dora Perez; her sisters, Catrina Shaw and husband Robert, Cyndi Martinez and husband Robert, and Christine Phouchane and husband Mao, as well and numerous nieces and nephews.

Tragedy struck when Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez broke up. Debi and I played Selena Gomez’s “the heart wants what it wants” (a love song about Justin Bieber). I’ll never forget when Debi, and I would hysterically sing our hearts out as we shared a precious love for music.
