Diana Garcia

Diana Garcia, 67, of Amarillo passed away on December 27, 2024. She was born in Crystal City, Texas on October 20, 1957, to Pablo Garcia and Julia Martinez Garcia.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, January 2, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Lighthouse Funeral Home, 3707 Wolflin Ave, Amarillo.

A Funeral Service celebrating Diana’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 3, 2025, at Power Church, 1344 SE 10th Ave. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, 6969 E. Interstate 40.

Diana loved shopping, taking road trips and gardening with plants and flowers. She enjoyed putting together puzzles and watching movies. Diana was a hard worker and was always on the go. She treasured spending time with family and friends whether it was going to church, cookouts, or spending time over the holidays.

Diana was a loving, caring, selfless and compassionate mother, sister, and friend. She would do anything for someone in need. She was the kindest person you could hope to meet.

Diana was so loved by all whom she came in contact with, and she will be greatly missed.  “We love you so much, Mom.”

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pablo and Julia Garcia; brothers, Juan Garcia and Pablo Garcia, Jr.; a son, David Fuentes, and two grandchildren, Johnny Fuentes, and Marina Mercedes Fuentes.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Eleberto “Eddie” Fuentes, and his wife, Estella; a daughter-in-law, Kristy Carr; her grandchildren, Rama Fuentes, Eva Johnson, Marissa Fuentes, Bonnie Fuentes, Matthew Carr, and Austin Carr; her great-grandchildren, Alina Rose Johnson and Victoria Carrera.  She is also survived by her siblings, Joaquin Garcia, Hilda Garcia, Mary Contreras, Julie DeLeon, and Silvia Garcia, as well as many nieces and nephews.
