Donald Allen Blackburn was born on February 19, 1972, in Ft. Knox, Kentucky, to Donald Allen Blackburn Sr. and Donna Kay McKee. He passed away on November 28, 2025.
Donald Allen Blackburn Jr., “Junebug,” passed peacefully in his sleep. We will always remember Jr’s love for his family, racing, and Pokemon. We will dearly miss his handwritten birthday cards and his endless supply of jokes. Jr. enjoyed fishing, going to Bible study, and attending church. Walk with mom and God. We love you and will miss you terribly.
He was preceded in death by Donna and Ronnie McKee, as well as Dan and Terry Schlichter. Survivors include sisters Kay Maxwell, Clarence Wood, and Melanie Brannum, and her husband Terry. He is also survived by three nephews, five nieces, three great-nephews, and two great-nieces.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. this Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Chaparral Hills Baptist Church, 4000 W. Cherry Ave., Amarillo, 79108.
I am so going to miss my Sunday evening phone calls we talked most Sundays for several years he was a wonderful person and has always been the sweetest boy I have known I’m not saying that because he was my nephew I’m saying it because there’s no way you could not love him I will miss you mr junebug but you are going to be in my heart always
