Donald “Don” Jetton

Donald “Don” Jetton, 83, of Amarillo, passed away peacefully February 7, 2024.  He was born June 11, 1940, in Tioga, Texas to E.L. and Birdie (Johnson) Jetton.

He married Kay Mannin February 21, 1999.  He was employed by Northern Natural Gas for many years.  He served in the Marine Corps from 1958-1961.  Don often spoke of memories of racing enduro motorcycles and taking vacations in Fun Valley, Colorado.

He was preceded in death by his parents, E.L. and Birdie Jetton; his brothers, Carey Jetton and wife Rosemary, Roland Jetton; his sister, Nita Jetton Gilbert and husband Bobby, and a brother-in-law, Truman Williamson.

Don is survived by his wife, Kay Jetton; daughters, Terry Tow and husband Darrell, Felecia Broaddus and husband Curtis; a sister Mary Lou Williamson; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

    I remember the night Don and Kay met. At a dance class and I said to her the love of your life may walk through the door. And sure enough in walked tall handsome Don. Needless to say it was Love at first sight. He will be missed. My Condolences to Kay and all the family.
