Dorothy Leota (Bitner) Lewis

Dorothy Leota (Bitner) Lewis, 85, went to be with Jesus December 20, 2022 in Amarillo, Texas. She was born February 27, 1936 in Littlefield, Texas, to Virgil Lee Bitner and Ellen (Moore) Bitner. She was the second child of three and was raised in the Littlefield area where she graduated from Littlefield High School.

Dorothy met and married the love of her life, Charles Lewis, on January 1, 1955 and they began farming in Olton, Texas. She was a wonderful housewife and mother to their three children. She loved shopping, traveling, and her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Billy Bitner.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Charles, her brother Jimmy Bitner, and her children Helen Lewis Smith, Howard Lewis, Bill Lewis and wife Amy, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your favorite charity or church.
