Earl Lee Miner, Sr., 66, passed away on March 31, 2023, in Amarillo, Texas. He was born September 5, 1956, in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Willie and Lore (Sammuel) Miner.
He met the beautiful Young Choy in Korea while stationed there. Together they had two children, Earl Miner, Jr., Stacy Pientok.
“Dad was a kind-hearted, loving man. He was selfless and always put others first. Dad was the kind of person who would give his last dollar to help those in need. His creativity was expressed through writing songs and poetry. He also created artwork and abstract paintings.
Dad enjoyed listening to music of all genres. His grandson TJ inspired him to start playing the guitar. One Christmas, his only wish was “for granddad to write him a song that Christmas.” That year, Dad wrote “A Song for TJ.” Dad enjoyed making others laugh. His grandkids, TJ, Blaysen and Braxten were his strength. They empowered him every day. He was a loving father, and he did everything he could for us, no matter what.”
Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Lore Miner, and his siblings, Dorothy Jones and David Miner, Martha Lee Miner, Willie Miner, Jr., and Richard Miner.
He will forever be remembered by his beloved bride, Young Miner; his children, Earl Miner, Jr., and Stacy Pientok, and husband Toby, Sr.; his grandchildren, Braxten Miner, Blaysen Miner and Toby Pientok, Jr.; his siblings, Jerry Miner, Bessie Cornell, Leola Wright, Martha Ann Miner, Jenny V.
