Epifanio Lopez

Epifanio Lopez, 80, of Amarillo, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday, February 13, 2026. He was born in Rio Hondo, Texas, on October 26, 1945, to Gregorio and Elvira (Sanchez) Lopez.

The family will receive visitors from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Lighthouse Funeral Home, 3707 Wolflin Ave., in Amarillo.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 19, at South Georgia Baptist Church, 5209 S. Georgia St., Interment will follow at Llano Cemetery East, located at the corner of 34th and Arthur Streets.

Epifanio enjoyed his retirement by watching Western movies and spending time with his family. He loved building and fixing things. Epifanio kept busy working on his yard and his cars, while he listened to Oldies and Rock music. He enjoyed cruising the local park. Epifanio remained a faithful, diehard fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He had a love of food, especially steak, beans, hamburgers, and Coke!

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gregorio and Elvira Lopez, and his siblings, Antonio Lopez, Tomas Lopez, Narcisa Lopez, Gilberto Lopez, Juana Lopez, Dora Lopez, Gregorio Lopez, Juan Lopez, and Maria Lopez.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Vicenta Lopez; his children, Mary Rodriguez, Greg Lopez, Christina Lopez, David Lopez, April Guerrero, Sandra Sigala, Juana Sigala, Guadalupe Lopez, and Cristhian Mendoza; 25 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and one brother, Manuel Lopez.

Epifanio Lopez, de 80 años, de Amarillo, falleció rodeado de su querida familia el viernes 13 de febrero de 2026. Nació en Rio Hondo, Texas, el 26 de octubre de 1945, hijo de Gregorio y Elvira (Sanchez) Lopez.

La familia recibirá visitas de 6:00 a 8:00 p.m. el miércoles 18 de febrero de 2026, en Lighthouse Funeral Home, 3707 Wolflin Ave., en Amarillo.

Los servicios funerarios se llevarán a cabo a la 1:30 p.m. el jueves 19 de febrero, en South Georgia Baptist Church, 5209 S. Georgia St. El entierro seguirá en Llano Cemetery East, ubicado en la esquina de las calles 34 y Arthur.

Epifanio disfrutaba de su jubilación viendo películas Western y pasando tiempo con su familia. Le encantaba construir y arreglar cosas. Epifanio se mantenía ocupado trabajando en su jardín y en sus autos, mientras escuchaba música Oldies y Rock. Le gustaba pasear por el parque local. Epifanio seguía siendo un fanático fiel y apasionado de los Dallas Cowboys. Tenía un amor por la comida, especialmente por el bistec, los frijoles, las hamburguesas y la Coca-Cola.

Lo precedieron en la muerte sus padres, Gregorio y Elvira López, y sus hermanos, Antonio López, Tomás López, Narcisa López, Gilberto López, Juana López, Dora López, Gregorio López, Juan López y María López.

Le sobreviven para honrar su memoria su amada esposa, Vicenta López; sus hijos, Mary Rodríguez, Greg López, Christina López, David López, April Guerrero, Sandra Sigala, Juana Sigala, Guadalupe López y Cristhian Mendoza; 25 nietos ;11 bisnietos, y un hermano, Manuel Lopez.
