With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Eric Richard Mallo, a creative and courageous man, who left us on January 12, 2025. Born to Harry and Sharon Mallo on July 11, 1961, in Fort Sill, OK, Eric resided in Amarillo, Texas, where he touched the lives of many with his kind-heartedness, dedication, and a spark of creative genius.

Eric was a Field Service Tech for Ricoh, a role he performed diligently for 10 years. His work was a testament to his character; he was reliable, hardworking, and always ready to lend a hand. His dedication to his work was only matched by his love for travel. Eric found immense joy exploring the tropical paradises of St. Thomas and Hawaii, where he reveled in the beauty of nature. In his younger years, Eric’s creative spirit found expression in sketching and painting, hobbies that brought him immense satisfaction and peace.

As Pablo Picasso once said, “The purpose of life is to find your gift. The meaning of life is to give it away.” Eric lived this philosophy; his life was a demonstration of sharing his gifts with the world. His courage and creativity enriched the lives of those around him, and he will be greatly missed.

Eric is survived by his sister, Darcy Mallo; his stepmother, Jerrilu Mallo; and his brothers, Jay Brown and Grady Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Sharon Mallo.

A private family service will be held in El Paso, Texas.
