Eva Lou Younger joined her late husband Roy on August 14th at the age of 93. She was born in the Haylake Community on July 7, 1931, to Martin and Juanita (Sis) Self. She attended and graduated Silverton High School in 1948. Lou married Roy Alvin Younger on March 12, 1959, and raised five children.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Roy; her sisters Delma, Deal, and Zobie; her brothers J.L. and Bill; her son, Roger; a daughter, Lexie; a grandchild Bradley, and a great-grandchild who passed away as a baby, Conner.
Lou is survived by daughters Jeanetta (Doug) Bradford of Silverton, Lydia (Lyndall) Couch of Lubbock, and Lisa Gragson of Silverton; nine grandchildren and spouses; 21 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandson on the way.
Lou was an avid volunteer for Coffee Memorial Blood Center. She enjoyed all sports and being involved in all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s activities.

Cremation is under the personal care of Lighthouse Funeral Home. No services are scheduled at this time. A Memorial service will be held at a later date.
I remember years ago she made popcorn balls for Halloween 🎃 That was a highlight of Trick-or-treating!!!
I remember Lou very well and all her family. I loved going to her parents’ house. Zobie was my history teacher in high school.

She was a sweet lady! Kind heart, willing to help others and not afraid to work hard. She loved her family! She will be greatly missed but, she left good memories.
