Geneva Wright, 72, of Amarillo, Texas passed away peacefully September 10, 2025. She was born on June 28, 1953, in Wellington, Texas to Finis and Tommie (Lentz) Dobbins. She was the baby of three Robert, Juanita and Geneva.
Geneva lived in Amarillo all her life, she owned and operated a restaurant for years and later worked in retail until she retired. Geneva lived life her own way and was very free- spirited and not materialistic. She will be missed dearly and loved always.
She was preceded in death by her parents Finis and Tommie Dobbins; her sister Juanita Byas; brother, Robert Dobbins, and her husband Jo Don Wright.
Geneva is survived by niece Janice Byas; nephew, Jody Byas and wife Michelle; niece, Natalie Lowe and husband, LB and nephew, Michael, Dobbins, and wife, Terri. She is also survived by several great, and great-great nieces and nephews.
I graduated with Geneva in 1971 from Caprock High School. I always liked her. I hope she had a happy life.
