George Baeza, 68, of Amarillo, passed away September 20, 2024. He was born October 11, 1955, in El Paso, Texas to Samuel and Rosario Baeza.

George was a man whose life was defined by hard work, unwavering pride, boundless kindness, and deep love for his family and friends.

George grew up in El Paso, where he learned the value of diligence and perseverance from an early age. He carried these lessons throughout his life, dedicating over decades to his work as a delivery man for Trafton Printing.

As a young man, he loved bowling, fishing, and playing 8-ball pool. He loved outdoors, enjoying the water in our family swimming pool. He left behind a legacy of craftsmanship that will stand for generations. George took immense pride in his work, and it showed in everything he touched. Never one to cut corners, he believed that anything worth doing was worth doing right.

While George was a man of great pride, he was equally known for his kindness. His generosity was quiet and steady. He was a man who listened with an open-heart and offered words of encouragement when they were needed the most.

Above all, George was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He shared a deep and enduring love with his wife, Sylvia. Together they raised two beautiful daughters, Sandra and Stephanie, instilling the values of integrity and compassion. He cherished every moment he spent with them, as well as his grandchildren, teaching them the same lessons that guided his own life.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosario Valdez.

George is survived by his beloved wife, Sylvia Baeza; daughters, Stephanie and Sandra Baeza; grandchildren, Thalia Gutierrez, Emma Miller, and Landon Miller; brothers, Gustavo Gonzalez, Jesus Valdez, Jr., and a sister, Marina Bailon.

The family will receive visitors from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Lighthouse Funeral Home, 3707 Wolflin Ave., Amarillo.  A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Lighthouse on Friday, September 27, 2024.
