Glenn Marshall Lakeway

Glenn Marshall Lakeway, 64, of Amarillo passed away January 9, 2024. He was born March 12, 1959, in Cranston, Rhode Island to Shirl Charles and Patricia Evelyn (Naugler) Lakeway.

He was a transport truck driver, amazing automotive mechanic, and worked for an electronic instrumentation company. He was truly a man of many talents. He was always a caring man and would give a friend the shirt off his back if they needed one. He had a love for race cars that he shared with his longtime friend Bobby Tucker. He liked many types of music, he would sit for hours listening to music, playing cards, coloring intricate designs, working puzzle books, and playing with his dog Peanut. He loved to tell jokes and always made a clever remark, even in his last week of life. If you asked him how he was feeling, he would say “with my fingers.”

He was preceded in death by his father, Shirl Charles Lakeway, and his mother, Patricia Evelyn Naugler Lakeway.

Glenn is survived by a brother, Shirl Charles Lakeway, Jr.; a sister, Chrystal Henthorne; daughters, Tanya Kay Lakeway and husband Eddie Meek, and Patricia Lynn Lakeway-Hicks; a son, Glenn Marshall Lakeway, Jr.; grandchildren, Mariah Meek, Joe Torres, Brandon Alvarez, Derrick Hicks, Jr., A’mauriana Lakeway, and great granddaughter Kariah Woods.

Glenn will be laid to rest during a private burial.
