Gloria Jean Sandoval was a caring mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
She left this world suddenly on August 9, 2022, at the age of 54. She was born December 19, 1967, to Leonardo, Sr. and Juanita Sandoval.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 19, 2022, at Lighthouse Chapel, 3707 Wolflin Ave., in Amarillo.
Her battle with serious issues in recent years showed her courage in facing life’s challenges with a smile. Despite the pain she was in, Gloria stayed strong until the end. She was a loving and kind person. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to her. She loved playing bingo, and she was a huge fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
Gloria always ensured that everyone knew how much she loved them.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother; her grandparents, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Gloria is survived by her daughter, Lisa Marie Sandoval; her son-in-law, Benjamin Martinez; four sisters, Ann, Frances, Rose, and Cecilia Sandoval; three grandchildren, Arianna Sandoval, Lilianna Martinez, and Benjamin Martinez, Jr.; a sister-in-law, America Contreras; two brothers-in-law, Andrew Perez, and Hector Gandara, as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

My prima Gloria was an amazing daughter, sister, sobrina,and cousin! She was my sister, couldn’t get any closer! I will miss her calls her voice always made me smile. She would call just to check on me. She is with my lil brother and her family that has passed. I know she is in heaven feeling no pain!! Love you Gloria. Rest in peace prima!
