In Loving Memory of Gregory Thomas Brown, it is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gregory Thomas Brown, who left us on Friday, November 8, 2024, at the age of 39. A beloved member of the Amarillo community, Greg was known for his courage, generosity, and adventurous spirit. Born on September 20, 1985, in sunny San Diego, California, to the late Thomas and Joanie Brown, Greg’s infectious smile and compassionate heart touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at Lighthouse Funeral Home, 3707 Wolflin Ave, where family and friends will gather to celebrate Greg’s life and honor his memory.
Greg’s life was defined by his dedication to making others laugh, and his love for life’s simple pleasures—from working on engines to riding motorcycles and cooking up delicious meals for his family and friends. His legacy will live on in the countless lives he touched and the love he shared with all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Joanie Brown.
Greg is survived by his devoted wife of 20 years, Vanessa Brown; their children, Ryden and Hayden Brown; his brother, Peter Brown, and sister-in-law, Jessica, along with a close-knit family of friends who will forever hold his memory dear.
Though Greg will be deeply missed, his spirit will remain with us, and his memory will never fade. May he ride in peace and paradise.
Sooo many memories of Greg, he was truly one of my best friends! From kickin each other’s asses in the shop just for the shirts and giggles of it, to many a great time cooking out and relaxing with friends and family. Greg is a great guy and will most definitely live on through those close to him! Love Ya Buddy!!!
Every single time I saw Greg he had an authentic smile on his face, even when life was hard. His optimism showed in everything he did. He didn’t hesitate to jump into a pool with his jeans on when he didn’t pack a swimsuit. He was sure he could fix anything with wheels on it and he was usually right. He was always ready for barbecue and the parties that followed the food. He was confident that the future would be even better than the present. Greg will be remembered fondly and missed by many.
From cooking s’mores on a little fire to building a race car, this man right here saved me from a lot, the memories that play back in my head like on my 11th birthday. He bought me an electric and well him being him he had to “test it out for me” and well he sprained his ankle. He was never scared no matter the occasion and always knew how to handle it he situation. He was a real life hero for a lot and always will be. And never will he be forgotten for his strength and courage. We love you and hope to see you some day. Love you dad.
