Guadalupe Lutano Pena Jr., born on April 16, 1969, in Hereford, Texas, passed away on January 1, 2025, in Amarillo, Texas. He was 55 years old.

Guadalupe was a passionate football and baseball enthusiast. Ford Mustang fanatic, he found joy in the thrill of the open road “drive it like you stole it.” His adventurous spirit also led him to a lifelong passion for traveling, exploring new places and cultures. Always eager to help others, he was known for his kindness and generosity. Proud of his service in the United States Marine Corps, he carried its values of discipline and loyalty throughout his life. A dedicated Federal Government employee for over 20 years, he made a meaningful impact in his career.

Guadalupe was preceded in death by his mother, Tomasita Garza Muniz; his stepfather, Benito Muniz; and his grandparents, Beatriz and Esteban Torres.

He is survived by his wife, Adriana Pena; his daughter, Nicole Cruz; and son-in-law, Julio Cruz, all of San Diego, California. Guadalupe also leaves behind his brothers Fidencio Pena, Steve Pena, and JT Muniz of Amarillo, Texas; Adam Pena of Michigan; and his sisters Priscilla Snyder of Zeeland, Michigan, and Jessica Muniz of Killeen, Texas. He will be deeply missed by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and all who knew him.

Guadalupe’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, leaving behind a legacy of service, sportsmanship, and a love for life. May he rest in peace, knowing his life made a difference in so many ways.
