Ingrid Rochelle Briles

Ingrid Rochelle Briles, 74, a retired Social Worker from Amarillo, TX, passed away to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, June 5, 2020 at 10:30 p.m.

Ingrid is survived by; her son, Kevin (45) in Amarillo, her grandchildren, Emily (11) and Micah (10) in Gillette, Wyoming, her Uncle Dave and Aunt Muriel Phy in Pennsylvania, and many other cousins around the country.

Ingrid was born in Nevada City, CA on June 9, 1945 to Joseph and Jennie Poirier. Both were members of the US Military, Jennie was even a part of the WAVES program.

Ingrid spent most of her life employed in Social Work. She worked for the Salvation Army, Sojourners, and most recently Family Support Services in Amarillo. She was also a devoted Christian, an avid professional genealogist, an accomplished and published writer, a Daughter of the American Revolution, and the founder of the Amarillo chapter of Alienated Grandparents Anonymous, Inc.

A small informal memorial service will be held for Ingrid at 6 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. on Friday, June 12, 2020 at the home of Don and Tammy Novak. All are welcome to attend.

Ingrid, you will always be loved, and missed. You’re no longer suffering, but at home, at peace, with your Heavenly Father.
