Jackson Davis “Jack” Hollinger

Jackson Davis “Jack” Hollinger, 68, of Amarillo, passed away peacefully on April 23, 2024 surrounded by his loved ones.

Graveside services with Military Honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 26, 2024 at Llano Cemetery East.

Jack was born in Amarillo on February 10, 1956, to Lewis and Shirley Hollinger. He graduated from Tascosa High School in 1975. He then proudly served his Country through the United States Air Force beginning in 1980. Jack was honorably discharged in 1991, while serving in Homestead, Florida. Following his military service, he and his wife owned and operated a hair salon and spa in Coconut Grove, Florida.

Jack’s health began to decline, and he moved back to Amarillo in 2012. After getting settled in Amarillo, Jack began his next journey working at Pak-A-Sak on Hollywood Road. He quickly became a customer favorite. Jack never met a stranger and loved to cut up and tease anyone he could.

After moving to Amarillo, Jack quickly fell in love with the game of golf. He would be on the golf course every chance he had. He loved to watch, talk, and play golf and did so until his health declined further.

Jack loved his family dearly and he will be missed by so many.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Gerry Hollinger and Michael Hollinger.

Jack is survived by his wife Donna; his son, Jared Hollinger; a sister, Debbie Smith and husband Rick of Amarillo; a brother, Stacey Hollinger and wife Lynette of Arlington, Texas; several nephews and nieces, Tyson and wife Nicole, Kendra Smith and fiancé Aric Brewton, Haley Hollinger, Tanner Hollinger, Jason Hollinger and wife Cortney, Jeremy Hollinger, Kim Hollinger, and Cali Daniel and husband Dillon; a sister-in-law, Debby Hollinger of Ft. Worth, Texas, as well as many great nieces and great nephews.
Special thanks to his son, Jared, niece Kendra Smith, and Hospice nurse, Iris Lujan for the amazing care they took of Jack.
